Just Another Day in the Office

Our talented designer Missy is out of the office today so we have brought in a temp. She doesn't know much about using the computer but seems to love the flower pen.

It is a cold and rainy week in Arizona. Riley and Missy are both sporting their puffy vests today.

Half Yearly Birthday

At six months Riley has already achieved such great things. First off she has blessed the hearts of everyone that she meets, really... if you have not meet her yet, you will see. Her smile will truly melt your heart!

-She takes 3 naps a day (morning, afternoon and a short cat nap around dinner)

-She has a bottle 6 times daily (5am ish, 9am, noon, 4pm, 7pm, 10:30pm) She has tasted apples, cucumbers, cantaloupe, carrots, and likes rice cereal. She appears to be ready to throw down some real food but we are waiting until our Dr. appt. on the first to get the go ahead.

-She smiles from the moment she falls asleep and the minute she wakes up!

-She can roll over one way and is close to rolling over the other

-She has not fully mastered sitting up - but it is only a matter of time

-She likes to stand and her little legs can support her weight

-She giggles and belly laughs

-She LOVES her bumbo chair (think it makes her feel like a BIG Girl)

-She likes feeding treats to her favorite dog Rocky

-She smiles so BIG whenever her daddy walks into the room

-She LOVES her Missy and Aunt Mandy -when she hears their voices she is on high alert and can't wait for them to talk to her.

-Her favorite book is All things Bright and Beautiful ( Grandma "B" recorded for her)

-She LOVES Sunday mornings at Grandma and Grandpas

-She likes getting dressed (maybe not as much as mommy likes dressing her) but when we are done she likes to admire herself in the mirror.

-She already likes "Happy Hour" (again maybe not as much as mommy) but we get to drop in on the neighbors next door and visit with Aunt Janet, Uncle Gregg and Grandma Jeanette. We are going to miss them this summer ):

-She realized she had a voice about a week and a half ago and wanted to let the whole world know so she pretty much yelled whenever she needed something. She has quieted down some and makes the sweetest sounds (my favorites are right before she goes to sleep).

Riley has been the most amazing blessing for Dave, I and even those close to us. She brightens our days, warms our hearts, and reminds us that God is AMAZING!

So last night I started cooking dinner and Miss Riley decided she would like to take her evening nap. I placed her in one of her favorite napping spots. Dave came in from the office a few minutes later to this sweet site. She is sound asleep with this strap embedded in her mouth and yes, she did have imprints on both of her chubby little checks. (:
