What Riley has taught me...Trust and Dependance

Tonight as I rocked our baby girl to sleep I was in awe of her dependence on Dave and I. She puts her total trust in us. That we will comfort her, feed her, keep her safe and warm. Then it hits me...it is GODS perfect image of how we should trust and depend on him completely.

Matthew 18
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven 1At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

As with most things of this nature, for me anyways...SIMPLE but yet so difficult! It requires humility, commitment and constant vigilance. If we trust in the only One who is worthy of our dependence, will we find that our God is bigger than we ever imagined?
