Yep that is right! DTC (Date to China) after let's see...a little over eight months. We have completed all the necessary paperwork to proceed with our journey to China for a little one! 3lbs of paperwork was shipped off on Monday (the big list down the right side of our blog) Our agency will overnight to China on Friday.
The next step for China is a LID (Log in Date). This date determines the order for which families will receive a referral. To give you an idea, In April, China will be referring families that have a LID of 03/07/06 (and hopefully a couple more days). The time frame for a referral is now 36-38 months.
Dave and I are as excited today, as we were a little over eight months ago...
We are celebrating this weekend by going to the beach - Yippeee!!!
Congratulations on your DTC!! I love seeing all your gold seals. It takes me back. Tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary of being home. It flies by so quickly. Savor every minute of this journey.

I found your blog through Rumor Queen... I saw your question yesterday (4/20) about how long from DTC to LID and I wanted to reply, but not on Rumor Queen for the whole world to see! We were DTC back on March 6 (2009) and we didn't hear anything for over 5 weeks. I was going crazy! I was so sure China had lost our paperwork! But I finally got the e-mail from our agency last Monday that we had actually been LID since March 20, which was exactly 2 weeks after our DTC. It just took over 3 weeks for them to get word to us! Hope that helps. I know how worried I was so I wanted to help calm your fears. Good luck!
